Job Overview: This role involves a range of essential cleaning and maintenance activities to ensure the upkeep of offices, hallways, and other designated communal spaces.

The position accommodates various shifts, including morning, afternoon, and night schedules, with some shifts spanning from Tuesday to Saturday, allowing for days off on Sunday and Monday. You will be part of a large team of maintenance personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely disposes of municipal and medical waste, including recyclable materials, from designated areas to the correct disposal containers.
  • Maintains cleanliness in corridors, stairways, entrances, sidewalks, and other facility locations.
  • Orders, receives, restocks, and manages supplies necessary for daily operations.
  • Responds promptly to emergency situations, including floods and spills.
  • Implements isolation procedures and performs other related tasks as assigned.
  • Sets up and dismantles special equipment and furniture in various rooms. Assists in moving furniture, equipment, and other items for staff needs. Prepares and clears furniture and displays for events.
  • Operates both power and manual floor cleaning machinery in accordance with established departmental protocols.
  • Ensures all equipment used in daily tasks is properly maintained.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in custodial services.
  • Proficient in the safe and effective operation of industrial cleaning equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to comprehend and communicate job expectations and responsibilities.
  • Exhibits a friendly and approachable demeanor in interactions with others, while meeting the physical demands of the role.
