Job Overview

Position Summary

The Privacy Officer I is tasked with ensuring the overall safety and security of all Bighorn properties. This role involves patrolling designated areas, whether by vehicle or on foot, to safeguard members, guests, employees, and the club's assets. The officer will respond to both emergency and non-emergency situations, maintaining communication with the central communication center. Additionally, the officer will enforce traffic regulations and local laws as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and report on all individuals entering and exiting buildings or properties, remaining vigilant for theft or suspicious activities.
  • Effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Facilitate access to residential areas for vendors, homeowners, and their guests.
  • Enforce all rules and regulations of Bighorn Golf Club.
  • Utilize basic office technology and computer systems.
  • Oversee security camera systems and monitor activities.
  • Respond to emergencies, fire alarms, and security alerts, coordinating with the Privacy Director and law enforcement as necessary.
  • Administer CPR and First Aid when required.
  • Maintain a detailed log of all security-related activities during shifts.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the clubhouse, grounds, and other facilities.
  • Patrol all Bighorn properties to prevent unauthorized access.
  • Familiarize oneself with emergency notification procedures.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned by the Director of Privacy.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Prior experience in a private club or hospitality setting is required.

Core Competencies

  • Experience in similar roles is preferred.
  • Ability to remain alert and attentive throughout the shift.
  • Knowledge of emergency response protocols.

Licenses and Certifications

  • Certification in Basic CPR, AED, and First Aid.
  • Possession of a valid State of California (BSIS) Guard Card.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

  • Frequent exposure to varying weather conditions including heat, humidity, and rain.
  • Working conditions may involve prolonged standing and nighttime shifts.
  • Exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and potentially hazardous materials.
  • Ability to meet physical demands typical of this position, including lifting, bending, climbing, and walking.
  • Frequent repetitive motions are required.

The position operates on a graveyard shift schedule.
