Position Summary

Are you enthusiastic about applying your culinary expertise in a dynamic and fast-paced setting? We are currently in search of a talented Sous Chef to support our culinary operations in a late-night dining facility. This role encompasses managing multiple food concepts and an online ordering system. You will play a vital role in directing, training, planning, and executing the culinary operations to ensure exceptional service.

Your responsibilities will include supervising food preparation, cooking various dishes, and developing daily menu items with attention to detail. You may also oversee hourly staff and collaborate with the Executive Chef to innovate new menu offerings and assist with inventory management.

Note: This position primarily operates during late-night hours, typically from 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM, and flexibility is essential to meet operational needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Executive Chef in managing food costs and operational expenditures.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to plan and design menus.
  • Execute catering events with precision.
  • Implement new culinary initiatives alongside marketing and culinary teams.
  • Build strong relationships with clients to align our services with their goals, enhancing satisfaction and retention.
  • Perform additional duties as required to ensure the smooth operation of dining services.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in culinary or kitchen management, depending on formal training.
  • Experience in high-volume, complex food service operations is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with institutional and batch cooking methods is beneficial.
  • In-depth knowledge of food trends, quality standards, sanitation practices, and cost control.
  • Proficiency in computer applications.
  • ServSafe Certification is required.
