Job Description:
Job SummaryThe Lead Bartender will be responsible for maintaining the existing bar program and aiding in the development of the bar program's forthcoming phases. This includes training new bartenders and bar backs in all technical aspects of bar operations.
Key Responsibilities- Bar Operations: Maintain batching consistency and par upkeep.
- Guest Service: Provide knowledgeable, approachable, efficient, energetic, and thoughtful service at all times.
- Inventory Management: Assist management in inventory management, organization, cleaning schedule, and checklist maintenance.
- Training and Development: Train new bartenders and bar backs in all technical aspects of bar operations.
- Communication: Communicate respectfully with chefs and kitchen team as well as servers as necessary.
- Team Support: Support team members in the completion of their duties to ensure satisfaction of all guests before, during, and after service.
- Guest Issues: Engage management for any guest issue or complaint.
- Cleanliness: Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the bar and service areas.
- Stocking and Preparation: Stocking and preparing service-related items, setting up and cleaning bar.
- Grooming and Dress Code: Adhere to grooming and dress code standards.
- Experience: Minimum 2+ years of bartending experience in a high-volume environment.
- Beverage Knowledge: Strong beverage knowledge and a passion for the service industry.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Work Ethic: Must possess exceptional work ethic, strong attention to detail, and a collaborative attitude.
- Adaptability: Ability to demonstrate quick thinking and adaptability in a constantly changing environment.
The physical demands for this position are seeing, hearing, speaking, reaching, frequently lifting up to 25 pounds, occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds, sitting, standing, for 4 to 8 hours, bending, and moving intermittently during working hours. These physical requirements may be accomplished with or without reasonable accommodations.
