Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Customer Service Manager to join our team at Elevance Health. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the customer service department and ensuring that our members receive exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hire, Train, and Develop Direct Reports: Recruit, train, and develop a team of customer service representatives to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to provide excellent service.
  • Establish Departmental Policies and Procedures: Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective customer service operations.
  • Direct Implementation and Administration of Benefit Programs: Oversee the implementation and administration of benefit programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Prepare and Communicate Information to Stakeholders: Prepare and communicate information to stakeholders regarding benefit programs, procedures, changes, and government-mandated disclosures.
  • Audit and Monitor Efficiency and Compliance: Conduct regular audits to monitor efficiency and compliance with policies and procedures, and prepare specialized reports as needed.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 1 year of experience in a leadership role and a minimum of 5 years related customer service experience.
  • Professional Competencies: Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, problem-solving skills, facilitation skills, and analytical skills.

Work Environment

We operate in a Hybrid Workforce Strategy, and associates are required to work at an Elevance Health location at least once per week. Specific requirements and expectations for time onsite will be discussed as part of the hiring process. Candidates must reside within 50 miles or 1-hour commute each way of a relevant Elevance Health location.
