This position is situated within the Pennsylvania Judiciary, focusing on delivering essential administrative assistance to the Judicial Education sector.

The department oversees the continuous development of judicial education programs and ensures adherence to ongoing judicial education standards.

The Administrative Coordinator plays a pivotal role in supporting the Pennsylvania Continuing Judicial Education Board of Judges and the Pennsylvania Conference of State Trial Judges Education Committee, collaborating closely with various departments within the AOPC.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Gather, organize, assess, and disseminate information regarding departmental operations through comprehensive reports to the Judicial Education Director.
  • Facilitate departmental functions by drafting official correspondence, scheduling meetings, and coordinating teleconferences.
  • Respond to inquiries via phone and email related to Judicial Education, providing information or directing to the appropriate personnel.
  • Manage and process incoming and outgoing mail efficiently.
  • Maintain the department's calendar and filing systems, ensuring both electronic and physical documents are organized.
  • Handle faculty expense reimbursements and related documentation.
  • Compile conference course materials into designated files.
  • Issue invoices for books and monitor payment statuses, including managing deposits.
  • Coordinate promotional materials for conferences.
  • Disseminate information to judges regarding upcoming educational programs and courses.
  • Request transportation for Judicial Education Department activities.
  • Procure supplies for the department and the Continuing Judicial Education Board of Judges.
  • Input course evaluation data into the designated database.
  • Organize meetings for the Continuing Judicial Education Board.

Minimum Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s degree accompanied by one year of professional experience. Alternatively, a combination of education, experience, and training may be considered.


Additional Requirements / Preferences:

Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Webex, Zoom, Adobe Pro, SharePoint, and Excel is essential. A valid driver's license is required. Some travel within the state may be necessary. A satisfactory criminal background check is mandatory.
