Core Responsibilities

The Project Engineer will be tasked with:

  • Engaging with clients to foster business opportunities and cultivate enduring relationships.
  • Estimating project costs, preparing quotes, and conducting HVAC load assessments.
  • Interpreting and analyzing construction plans, utilizing AutoCAD as necessary.
  • Overseeing project management to align with specifications, timelines, and client expectations.
  • Coordinating technician schedules to ensure projects are completed on time.
  • Assuming full responsibility for project management, including client interactions, site meetings, equipment procurement, subcontractor oversight, scheduling, and financial tracking.
  • Ensuring profitability of projects and timely adjustments for change orders.
  • Collaborating effectively with team members, subcontractors, clients, and various trades.
  • Exhibiting adaptability to project demands and willingness to work outside standard hours when required.
  • Acquiring supplier quotes, purchasing necessary equipment, and drafting subcontracts.
  • Executing tasks as assigned by the Vice President of Construction.
  • Maintaining a professional, tidy, and minimally disruptive work environment for clients.
  • Supporting other departments and enhancing skills through ongoing training.
  • Involving management in conflict resolution when necessary.
  • Delivering exceptional, courteous service to surpass client expectations and promote repeat business.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME).
  • A solid background in Commercial HVAC, either through education or practical experience.
  • Preferred experience with AutoCAD.
  • A valid driver's license is essential.
  • Strong communication skills.
