  • Identify tax planning opportunities for clients and develop strategies to minimize tax liabilities.
  • Prepare complex tax returns accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.
  • Review tax returns, identify potential issues, and provide planning opportunities to clients.
  • Conduct research on tax matters and stay up-to-date on changes in tax laws and regulations.
  • Provide tax advisory services to clients, including tax planning, compliance, and controversy resolution.
  • Communicate effectively with clients regarding engagement needs and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Recognize additional service opportunities and develop strategies to grow the tax practice.
  • Stay current on professional developments and participate in ongoing training and professional development.
  • Build strong relationships with clients and staff, and demonstrate professional competency and ability.

Requirements

  • Strong communication, research, and analytical skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook, with experience with accounting software, ProSystem fx Engagement preferred.
  • Excellent organization and multitasking abilities, with a strong attention to detail.
  • At least 4 years of tax experience in public accounting, with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting (minimum 150 college credits).
  • Masters in Taxation is a plus, and CPA certification or completion of the CPA exam within a year is preferred.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and tax standards, with a strong understanding of tax laws and regulations.
  • A hybrid work schedule, with a minimum of 3 days in the office/client location per week, is available.
