Client Support SpecialistAs a Client Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in guiding clients through various programs and services designed to enhance their well-being. You will be responsible for building strong relationships with individuals facing diverse challenges and providing them with the tools they need to overcome obstacles and achieve their goals.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage client case files meticulously, ensuring accurate documentation and timely updates.
- Provide comprehensive support services and referrals to clients based on their individual needs.
- Collaborate with a network of public and private organizations to expand employment opportunities for clients.
- Identify essential support services and make appropriate referrals to connect clients with relevant programs.
- Conduct informative workshops tailored to the specific needs of diverse communities.
- Assist clients in crafting compelling job applications and resumes to enhance their chances of securing employment.
- Maintain ongoing communication with potential employers to stay informed about available job openings.
- Guide clients through various programs, including EITC tax preparation, food pantry assistance, fuel assistance, SummerWorks initiatives, and Virtual Gateway services, encompassing food stamps and health insurance.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisors to contribute to the overall success of the organization.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, with up to one year of experience in case management, job development, or general office support.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively and sensitively with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including varying educational levels, socioeconomic statuses, and cultures.
- Preference for bilingual fluency in Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, or Haitian Creole.
