Job Description:
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Manager Role
This dynamic role is part of our L&D leadership team at Swedish First Hill. As an L&D Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the clinical and operational activities of our labor and delivery units. You will lead a talented team of nurses, collaborating with them to ensure high-quality patient care, efficient operations, and continuous improvement.

Your expertise in labor and delivery nursing will be essential in driving quality initiatives, developing unit-based goals, and implementing evidence-based practices. Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of quality improvement programs, ensuring seamless integration with hospital-wide initiatives.
Mentor and coach staff nurses, promoting their growth and development through education, training, and performance feedback.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including physicians, midwives, and allied health professionals, to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Analyze data to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges, using insights to inform strategic decision-making and drive process improvements.
Develop and manage budgets, resources, and staffing plans, ensuring effective allocation and utilization.
Promote a culture of safety, respect, and inclusivity, addressing issues promptly and escalating concerns when necessary.
Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited school, or Associate Degree in Nursing with a commitment to obtain BSN within two years.
Current Washington State Registered Nurse License.
National Provider BLS - American Heart Association certification.
A minimum of 3 years' recent experience in labor and delivery nursing.
