Position Title: Commercial Director of Engineering

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the design, development, and testing processes for HVAC building systems.
  • Ensure that all products and designs align with customer specifications and adhere to industry standards.
  • Guide the professional growth of the engineering team through effective hiring, training, mentoring, and performance assessments.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including sales and field operations, to ensure project success.
  • Identify potential risks associated with products and projects and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Establish and manage project timelines and financial plans.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory and industry standards.
  • Lead initiatives for the development of innovative technologies and enhancements to existing products.
  • Foster and maintain relationships with key clients, partners, and suppliers to uncover new opportunities and stay informed about industry trends.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer in California.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the HVAC sector, with a focus on retrofitting projects.
  • Demonstrated success in managing projects and leading teams.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of HVAC building systems, including their design, development, and testing.
  • Familiarity with industry regulations and standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
