ROLE SUMMARY:

The Preventative Maintenance Technician position demands a high degree of professionalism, problem-solving skills, and effective communication, as it plays a vital role in customer interactions. The technician will operate independently, providing essential services to maintain ice machines at diverse locations while ensuring a superior customer service experience. The technician's goal is to enhance service effectiveness, improve customer satisfaction, and boost customer loyalty.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform maintenance and cleaning of ice machines as necessary.
  • Engage courteously with on-site management during check-ins and check-outs.
  • Deliver ice as required for service calls.
  • Identify and report any additional actions needed to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Handle payments and manage equipment as needed.
  • Document activities through completion of forms, reports, and logs.
  • Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the workspace.
  • Ensure the vehicle is clean and free of ice and debris at the end of each shift.
  • Conduct routine checks on vehicle fluids, wipers, and tires to ensure longevity.
  • Contribute to team efforts by undertaking additional tasks as assigned.
  • Represent the Easy Ice brand positively.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Vocational or technical training is preferred.

Experience:

  • 3-6 months of relevant field service experience.
  • Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service.

Certificates and Licenses:

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Frequent standing, walking, sitting, and use of ladders.
  • Occasional lifting and moving of items up to 75 pounds.
  • Extended periods of standing may be required.
  • Exposure to varying noise levels in the work environment.
  • Driving may constitute up to 60% of work hours.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts and adapt to changing schedules.
