Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and licensed Intake Specialist to join our dynamic team at SMPsychotherapy & Counseling Services. This part-time position offers flexibility with the option to work in person at our Hartford office or virtually.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive clinical intake assessments, providing accurate diagnoses based on the DSM5 or other relevant diagnostic manuals.
  • Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure appropriate care planning and client referrals.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, clinicians, and insurance providers.
  • Maintain detailed, accurate documentation of intake assessments and client information.
  • Assign clients to appropriate clinicians for treatment.
  • Assist clients in understanding their treatment options and next steps within our practice.
  • Obtain and maintain credentialing with all insurance companies SMPsychotherapy participates with.
Qualifications:
  • Licensed as an LPC-Licensed Professional Counselor, LCSW, or LMFT.
  • A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in mental health or related fields.
  • Strong knowledge of clinical assessment and diagnostic procedures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage a flexible schedule and work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to complete insurance credentialing with SMP's participating providers.
