Clinical Intake Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and licensed Intake Specialist to join our dynamic team at SMPsychotherapy & Counseling Services. This part-time position offers flexibility with the option to work in person at our Hartford office or virtually.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct comprehensive clinical intake assessments, providing accurate diagnoses based on the DSM5 or other relevant diagnostic manuals.
- Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure appropriate care planning and client referrals.
- Communicate effectively with clients, clinicians, and insurance providers.
- Maintain detailed, accurate documentation of intake assessments and client information.
- Assign clients to appropriate clinicians for treatment.
- Assist clients in understanding their treatment options and next steps within our practice.
- Obtain and maintain credentialing with all insurance companies SMPsychotherapy participates with.
- Licensed as an LPC-Licensed Professional Counselor, LCSW, or LMFT.
- A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in mental health or related fields.
- Strong knowledge of clinical assessment and diagnostic procedures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage a flexible schedule and work both independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to complete insurance credentialing with SMP's participating providers.
