Job Summary

We are seeking a Front Office Manager who embodies our values and shares our passion for excellence. As Front Office Manager, you will be responsible for shaping the client experience by providing exceptional service in support of our world-renowned hotel. You will be accountable for directing and controlling the activities of the Front Desk, Concierge, and Guest Services staff, and will respond to a wide variety of guest requests by accurately assessing their needs and adding personal recommendations and touches to achieve maximum customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the staff at the Front Office (Front Desk, Guest Services, and Concierge) and direct activities of the Rooms Division Assistant Managers in conjunction with the Director of Housekeeping to ensure communications and follow-up on any problems, guest requests, or special requirements.
  • Interview, train, and schedule staff, provide better feedback, and conduct performance evaluations. Administer progressive discipline when needed.
  • Monitor and assess revenue opportunities for the hotel and maximize red date conversion.
  • Ensure strategic business decisions are achieved, prepare and plan for Rooms Division revenue and expenses, and endeavor to maximize departmental profit and control costs.
Requirements

We are looking for an individual who poses solid interpersonal and relationship-building skills to work with cross-functional teams. Apply an ethical approach to influence the outcome of situations and serve as a role model for others by demonstrating appropriate business conduct and ethical principles. We are looking for candidates who are proactive, have a technical knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, and are able to read, write, and speak English. This position involves a heavy volume of organizational skill and ability to operate computer equipment and excellent Excel and Computer Skills. Sun, ADP, and Opera Systems knowledge would be ideal and greatly valued. This position requires an applicant with a flexible schedule and the ability to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays. 3-4 years of luxury hotel experience in an operational Department Head role as a Department Head is required. Work authorization for the location is required.
