Position Overview:

MaineGeneral Health is in search of a dedicated full-time remote Senior Financial Planning Analyst to become a vital part of our team. This role is essential for orchestrating and executing the planning, coordination, reporting, and management of financial and managerial reporting across various service lines and departments within the organization.


Key Responsibilities:

Core Duties:
Conducts comprehensive service line evaluations, episode of care analytics, financial modeling, and cost accounting to formulate organizational strategies and support leadership in decision-making processes.
Recognizes financial and operational performance patterns and offers recommendations for ongoing enhancements.
Engages in budget formulation, financial forecasting, variance analysis, cost reporting, financial planning, and various ad-hoc tasks.
Prepares and assesses benchmarking and peer data in relation to organizational metrics.

Qualifications:
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) is preferred.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in healthcare finance and accounting is required.
Familiarity with StrataJazz Advanced Cost Accounting is essential.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Exhibits strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Possesses excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrates flexibility and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Exhibits meticulous attention to detail.

Certification/License Requirements:

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) - Maine Board of Accountancy or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) - Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) is preferred. A minimum of 3 years of healthcare accounting experience is required. Experience with StrataJazz Advanced Cost Accounting is necessary.
