Medical Physicist Faculty Position

We are seeking a highly qualified Medical Physicist to join our faculty in the Department of Radiation Oncology at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. As a faculty member, you will play a key role in advancing our research and treatment programs in pediatric radiation oncology.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct research and develop new methods of targeting, treatment planning, delivery, and outcome modeling in pediatric radiation oncology.
- Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to develop and implement new clinical trials and research studies.
- Provide clinical physics services, including treatment planning, dosimetry, and quality assurance.
- Teach and mentor students, residents, and postdoctoral fellows in medical physics and radiation oncology.
- Participate in departmental and institutional service activities, including committee work and professional development.
- PhD in medical physics, engineering, or a related physical science.
- Certification in radiation oncology physics by ABR/ABMP or eligibility for certification.
- Board certification expected within three years of employment.
- Strong interest in proton therapy and developing new methods of targeting, treatment planning, delivery, and outcome modeling.
