Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities:
- Assist in the coordination of physics and dosimetry staffing for Baptist Cancer Centers across the metro area, ensuring timely and appropriate care for patients.
- Develop and implement protocols for patient care, ensuring evidence-based planning and optimized patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with the Baptist GME program to provide clinical education to Radiology residents in Radiation Oncology.
- Coordinate treatment planning processes and other procedures as needed.
- Oversee quality control measures and ensure compliance with hospital, state, federal, and accrediting body requirements.
- Participate in performance improvement and radiation safety activities.
- Contribute to a positive work environment and the overall team effort of the department.
Education:
- Master's degree in Medical Physics or related field.
- Board Eligible in Medical Physics by the American Board of Radiology (ABR).
Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in a progressive radiation oncology department.
- Preferred experience with HDR, advanced IMRT applications, and stereotactic treatment delivery.
Licensure, Registration, Certification:
- BLS Certification within 14 days of hire.
- ABR 3 certification.
Special Skills:
- Advanced computer skills.
