Job Summary

Bachoco OK Foods is seeking a highly skilled Production Supervisor to join our team at the Fort Smith Plant. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our production lines, meeting customer specifications and USDA requirements, and leading a team of hourly employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and lead a team of up to 40 employees, providing guidance, training, and development opportunities.
  • Ensure the safe and efficient operation of production lines, meeting quality and productivity standards.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure customer specifications and USDA requirements are met.
  • Conduct daily reporting, including employee time edits and production metrics.
  • Maximize yields and throughputs while maintaining quality standards.
  • Participate in interviews for open positions and ensure safety and job-specific training are conducted.
  • Prepare the assigned shift for customer and BRC audits.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, preferably with supervisory or lead experience in par fry, fully cooked, or further processing operations.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work, build relationships, and influence to achieve results.
  • Bi-lingual in English/Spanish a plus.
Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly supervise up to 40 employees, carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports, and speak effectively before groups.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, compute rate, ratio, and percent, and draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

Computer Skills

Familiarity with payroll systems, Excel, PowerPoint, spreadsheet software, and Outlook.
