Job Overview

HireVenture is in search of a seasoned Senior Embedded Systems Engineer to contribute to the advancement of innovative consumer products. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the design and execution of firmware solutions, demonstrating a blend of technical prowess and leadership capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the architecture, development, and validation of firmware for consumer electronics.
  • Engage with multidisciplinary teams, including hardware, software, and product management, to establish and fulfill product specifications.
  • Design and uphold firmware frameworks, ensuring they are scalable and efficient.
  • Conduct code evaluations and offer mentorship to junior team members.
  • Identify and resolve intricate firmware challenges.
  • Apply and enhance low-power design methodologies for devices reliant on battery power.
  • Ensure adherence to industry benchmarks and regulatory standards.
  • Remain informed about emerging trends and technologies in firmware engineering.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Over 10 years of pertinent firmware development experience, emphasizing new product innovation.
  • Extensive knowledge of C and C++ programming languages.
  • Expertise in crafting firmware for embedded microcontrollers (ARM Cortex M0-M33).
  • Experience with RTOS-based firmware development.
  • Understanding of security protocols, including cryptographic techniques and secure boot methods.
  • Familiarity with low power design strategies and experience with battery-operated consumer devices.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Proficient in serial communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART).
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-driven, collaborative individual with a strong eagerness to acquire new skills and advance professionally.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Bluetooth and Bluetooth Low-Energy (BLE) technologies.
  • Knowledge of BuildKite or similar continuous integration tools.
  • Prior experience in the consumer goods sector.
  • Experience with PCB hardware initialization and collaboration with electrical engineering teams.
