Position Overview:

We are in search of a Senior Systems Engineer and Architect to spearhead engineering and architectural decision-making across a diverse range of products that integrate AI, software, firmware, and hardware into cutting-edge solutions for our clients. This role demands a proven track record in leading the technical dimensions of intricate engineering initiatives, along with the capability to assess trade-offs and formulate architectural strategies at the system level encompassing AI, software, firmware, and hardware.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Convert both immediate and long-term product specifications into an architectural framework that informs design requirements for AI, software, firmware, and hardware elements.
  • Effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, promoting a collaborative and inclusive atmosphere within the internal engineering teams and contractor partners.
  • Offer technical guidance and mentorship to product development team members, facilitating decision-making that involves complex trade-offs across AI, software, firmware, and hardware.
  • Oversee the development, integration, and testing of AI-driven solutions.
  • Ensure thorough documentation of system architecture, design choices, and technical protocols.
  • Work alongside researchers and product leaders to shape the long-term product strategy.
Travel Requirements: 5-15%

Work Environment: Hybrid model with in-office presence expected.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
  • Over 10 years of experience in embedded systems engineering, software engineering, and artificial intelligence, including 3+ years in a leadership role as an Engineer or Architect.
  • Experience in constructing systems utilizing advanced SoCs and processors from leading manufacturers.
  • Proficiency in developing systems with resource limitations, where factors like battery life, thermal management, and spatial constraints are critical.
  • Expertise in creating edge solutions with on-device AI capabilities.
  • Familiarity with ARM architecture and associated development tools.
  • A history of successfully transitioning systems into production.
  • Strong technical acumen, with the ability to guide a team in addressing complex challenges and making impactful engineering decisions.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Experience in deploying on-device neural networks using SDKs for GPUs, DSPs, etc.
  • Background in developing embedded systems in isolated environments.
  • Knowledge of containerization and Kubernetes.
