We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Software Engineer to lead our software development team in designing, developing, and integrating software applications for our clients. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in embedded systems, real-time software engineering, and technical leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and leadership to the software development team, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Software Design and Development: Design, develop, and integrate software applications using C/C++ programming languages, with a focus on real-time systems and embedded systems.
  • Requirements and Design: Gather and document software requirements, create detailed design documents, and ensure that software meets the required specifications.
  • Software Architecture and Coding: Design and implement software architecture, write clean, efficient, and well-documented code, and ensure that software meets the required standards.
  • Integration and Certification: Integrate software components, conduct thorough testing, and ensure that software meets the required certification standards.
  • Customer Support: Provide technical support to customers, respond to technical queries, and ensure that customer needs are met.

Requirements:

  • Technical Expertise: Extensive experience in embedded systems, real-time software engineering, and technical leadership.
  • Programming Languages: Proficient in C/C++ programming languages.
  • Software Development Methodologies: Experience with structured software development environments, requirements development, and integration testing.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with TCAS, ACAS, ADS-B, ARINC 429, ARINC 735, RTCA DO-178C, and other related technologies.

Desirable Experience:

  • Real-Time Embedded Software Engineer: Experience in designing, developing, and integrating real-time embedded software applications.
  • ARINC 429, ARINC 735, and RTCA DO-178C: Familiarity with these standards and experience in implementing them in software development projects.

Education and Certifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • Professional Certifications: Relevant professional certifications, such as PMP, Agile, or Scrum Master.
