Senior Medical Science Liaison at Glaukos Corporation

  • Cultivate and enhance relationships with healthcare professionals across designated regions.
  • Assist in the recruitment and development of future Medical Science Liaisons while implementing innovative strategies to meet customer needs.
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of the functions and duties of Medical Science Liaisons in the United States, particularly concerning ocular diseases.
  • Stay informed on the latest developments in disease knowledge, research methodologies, and diagnostic information.
  • Implement approved medical strategies and initiatives effectively.
  • Serve as a technical and scientific resource for cross-functional teams.
  • Provide mentorship to new MSLs and take on special project responsibilities.
  • Exhibit diagnostic proficiency and engage in strategic planning.
  • Inspire and guide team members towards achieving goals.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Identify and cultivate relationships with Key Opinion Leaders in the industry.
  • Deliver actionable insights regarding Glaukos' product offerings.
  • Support clinical research initiatives.
  • Collaborate with medical organizations to provide educational resources.
  • Oversee territory budget management, performance metrics, and CRM documentation.
  • Facilitate collaboration across departments, including clinical operations and marketing.
  • A Doctorate degree is required.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in the eyecare or ophthalmology sector.
  • Proven experience as a medical science liaison within the eye care field.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems.
  • Address critical issues and provide insights aligned with company objectives.
  • Establish formal networks both internally and externally.
  • This is a field-based role located on the West Coast of the United States.
  • Reports directly to the Vice President of Global Medical Affairs.
  • Willingness to travel up to 70% for conferences and field visits.
