Billing Support Specialist

Objective
The Billing Support Specialist is responsible for assisting the Billing Supervisor in various administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to the billing department, ensuring smooth daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Processes and sorts incoming mail on a daily basis.
- Performs administrative duties such as recording payments, maintaining files, and organizing documentation.
- Exhibits proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
- Handles scanning, copying, and filing of both physical and digital documents as required.
- Responds to phone inquiries with professionalism, addressing customer needs effectively.
- Aids in resolving customer questions and concerns.
- Adheres to all HIPAA regulations concerning patient confidentiality.
Required Skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Proficient computer skills
- Understanding of front desk operations
- Outstanding organizational abilities
- Typing speed of at least 40 words per minute
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Associate's Degree preferred
Physical Demands
- Daily activities may include walking, standing, reaching, lifting up to 10 lbs., and prolonged periods of sitting.
