Purpose
The Billing Support Specialist is responsible for assisting the Billing Supervisor in various administrative tasks. The successful candidate will aid our billing department in managing daily operational needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Processes and sorts incoming mail on a daily basis.
- Handles clerical duties including payment postings, document filing, and organization.
- Exhibits proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
- Performs scanning, copying, and filing of both physical and digital documents as directed.
- Handles phone inquiries with professionalism, providing assistance to customers as needed.
- Aids in addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues.
- Adheres to all HIPAA regulations concerning patient confidentiality.
Required Skills
- Excellent customer service capabilities
- Proficient computer skills
- Understanding of front desk operations
- Outstanding organizational abilities
- Typing speed of at least 40 words per minute
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Associate's Degree preferred
Physical Demands
- Daily activities may include walking, standing, reaching, lifting up to 10 lbs., and prolonged sitting.
