Reports To: Regional Sales Director

FLSA Status: Exempt

SUMMARY

The Regional Custom Application Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the management and logistics of custom application services. This includes company owned assets, outside contractors and corresponding aerial business

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

(Includes the following and other duties may be assigned.)

Responsible for:

  • Communicating work order acres to respective rig operators for timely applications.
  • Providing a high level of customer service.
  • Being the main point of contact for timelines and when services are complete (Customer Experience).
  • Overseeing work schedules and time management for each internal customer applicator.
  • Overseeing the maintenance and repairs of the custom application equipment and reporting any concerns to management.
  • Assisting with the root cause analysis of any potential spray claims.
  • Focusing on increasing growth of the overall business.
  • Timely and efficient staging of agronomy products for operational efficiency.
  • Daily awareness of inventory control processes and procedures.
  • Assisting in inventory counting at the end of each month and at fiscal year-end.
  • Coordinating the scheduling of warehouse space with other business units of the company depending on seasonal space requirement needs.
  • Monitoring monthly efficiency reports and calculating return on investment for agronomy custom application equipment.
  • Operating vehicles, large trucks, forklifts, and other equipment in a safe manner and maintaining a safe driving record.
  • Promoting and adhering to the company Core Values of honesty, integrity & teamwork.
  • Adherence to safety policies.
  • Adherence to cooperative credit policy.
  • Works with other cooperative staff at other locations to ensure cooperative goals are met.
  • Present a clean and professional appearance.
  • Promptly and regularly report to work and work overtime hours as needed.
  • Employee is required to perform all other duties as directed.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Directly supervises Operation Technicians, Custom Applicators, and Warehouse Attendant at the location. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Must have a high school diploma or 3-5 years of previous experience within the Agronomy business.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with customers or employees of the cooperative.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, volume, and weights.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATION

Must obtain and maintain a Class A CDL with Haz-Mat, air brake and tanker endorsements with a safe driving record. Inspector's and Weigher's license and/or the ability to obtain and maintain. Pesticide Applicator License 1A and 7B and/or the ability to obtain and maintain.

REASONING ABILITY

The ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Able to deal with problems with several concrete variables in standard situations. Must be able to think quickly and perform a mental assessment of workplace hazards, take appropriate precautions, and choose appropriate PPE as dictated by need, regulation, and labeling.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 65 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. The employee is regularly required to legally operate a grain elevator manlift with the door closed, (300 lb. weight limit), climb stairs, and climb ladders to the top of the elevator (approximately an additional 30'-40.) The employee may occasionally need to climb ladders that may range from 20' to 180'. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
