Job Title: Kinship Care Coordinator

Job Summary:

The Kinship Care Coordinator is responsible for facilitating the placement of children with relatives, ensuring the safety and well-being of the child, and providing ongoing support to the kinship caregiver.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct home studies and assessments to determine the suitability of the kinship caregiver.
  • Develop and implement safety plans to ensure the child's safety and well-being.
  • Provide education and training to kinship caregivers on reunification efforts and setting boundaries with parents.
  • Collaborate with community partners to provide resources and support to kinship caregivers.
  • Document all client interactions and complete case activity logs.
  • Attend all required trainings and meetings.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in social work, community counseling, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in children and family services preferred.
  • Current, valid driver's license and auto insurance required.
