Job Summary:
The Kinship Care Coordinator is responsible for facilitating the placement of children with relatives, ensuring the safety and well-being of the child, and providing ongoing support to the kinship caregiver.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct home studies and assessments to determine the suitability of the kinship caregiver.
- Develop and implement safety plans to ensure the child's safety and well-being.
- Provide education and training to kinship caregivers on reunification efforts and setting boundaries with parents.
- Collaborate with community partners to provide resources and support to kinship caregivers.
- Document all client interactions and complete case activity logs.
- Attend all required trainings and meetings.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in social work, community counseling, or a related field.
- Previous experience in children and family services preferred.
- Current, valid driver's license and auto insurance required.
