Featherstone Senior Living is seeking a skilled Receptionist to join our team at our brand new Assisted Living and Memory Support community in Iowa City. As a Receptionist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional living experiences for our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Telephone and Communication: Answer multi-line telephones, directing calls to the appropriate personnel while maintaining client confidentiality and taking accurate messages.
  • Greeting and Directing Visitors: Greet and direct authorized visitors and vendors, ensuring completion of confidentiality agreements and maintaining a Visitors Sign-In/Sign-Out log.
  • Tours and Administrative Tasks: Conduct tours for prospective residents and family members, showcasing community amenities. Assist department heads with clerical duties as needed and foster team spirit by cross-training to support other office staff.

As a Receptionist at Featherstone Senior Living, you will be expected to support and uphold the Community's Mission and Values in all business interactions. Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma.
  • Applicable Experience: 1-2 years administrative/reception work (preferred).
  • Essential Functions: General Working Conditions: Exposed to audible noises due to alarm systems. Physical Demands: Standing, sitting, walking, reaching, stooping, and kneeling. Ability to lift up to 10 pounds. Mental Acuity Requirements: Ability to read, interpret documents, write reports, speak effectively, and apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions and solve problems. Sensory Requirements: Close vision, talking, and hearing. Technical/Motor Skill Requirements: Proficiency in operating office machines (copier, facsimile, calculator) and computer software programs.
