Job Summary:

The University of Iowa is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Services Coordinator to join our team in the College of Public Health. As a key member of our department, you will provide administrative support to our faculty and staff, ensuring the smooth operation of our daily activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide administrative support to faculty and staff, including answering phone calls, responding to emails, and preparing correspondence.

Coordinate logistics for events, meetings, and conferences, including room reservations, catering, and audiovisual equipment.

Maintain accurate records and databases, including student information, faculty credentials, and departmental documents.

Assist with budgeting and financial planning, including preparing invoices, reconciliations, and expense reports.

Develop and implement effective communication strategies, including creating and disseminating departmental newsletters, social media posts, and website updates.

Collaborate with colleagues to achieve departmental goals and objectives, including developing and implementing new policies and procedures.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.

Minimum of 6 months of administrative experience in a higher education setting.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups and individuals.

Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with liaison admissions systems, ICON/Canvas, Portfolium, Dispatch, MAUI, or other student records systems.

Familiarity with Zoom and other video conferencing platforms.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to customer service and excellence.

Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and systems.
