Educational Systems Analyst - Journeyman

Role Summary:

The Educational Systems Analyst - Journeyman is responsible for developing instructional materials, coordinating educational content, and integrating contemporary technology into training to provide guidance to educators and trainers in creating curricula and delivering courses.


Key Responsibilities:


- Conduct thorough reviews of content throughout all phases of development to ensure quality assurance and compliance with contract specifications.

- Maintain courseware lessons that support significant military-related systems training.

- Interpret compliance policies and standards for curriculum design and documentation related to training.

- Independently perform training situation analyses and job task analyses to support the functional design and development of synthetic training systems and equipment.

- Document the outcomes of analyses professionally.

- Utilize appropriate industry and government standards and specifications.


Deliverables:
Instructional System Design (ISD):

- Training Situation Analyses, Training System Functional Descriptions, Military Characteristics, Instructional Performance Requirements, Instructional Media Requirements, Instructional Media Design, Training Program Structure, Course Conduct Information, Training Conduct Support, Training Evaluation, Test Package, Instructional Media Package, Training Systems Support, Electronic Performance Support Systems (EPSS).


Human Systems Integration (HSI):

- Mission Analysis, Mission Scenarios, Functional Flow Block Diagrams, Operational Sequence Diagrams, Performance Baseline Specifications, Quality Function Descriptions, Top-Down Functional Analysis, Workload Analysis, Test Analysis, Manpower Estimation.


Human Performance Improvement (HPI):

- Business Analysis, Performance Analysis, Root Cause Analysis, Intervention Performance, HPI Evaluation; POA&Ms.


- Complete annual training as required by the company and clients.
- Submit daily timesheets in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Travel requirements may involve up to 50% travel.
- Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, including at least 24 semester hours pertinent to this position.

- Coursework must encompass at least four of the following five areas: Learning Theory, Psychology of Learning, Educational Psychology, Instructional Design Practices, Educational Evaluation, Instructional Product Development, Computers in Education and Training.

- A minimum of 3 years of practical experience in the instructional systems field, demonstrating knowledge of learning theory and associated principles, methods, practices, and techniques.

- Must be a U.S. citizen with a Top-secret clearance and the ability to obtain SCI.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

- Ability to attend all required in-person meetings and conferences within two hours, as needed.

- Knowledge of various subjects or occupations related to educational or training instruction, including occupational analysis, instructional design activities, development of instructional materials, training aids and devices, instructional services, program evaluation, and staff development.

- Proficient in a variety of computer software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook.

- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a high-performance environment.

- Strong problem-solving abilities.

- Self-motivated and capable of working independently or as part of a team.

- Willingness to travel up to 50%.
