The Detroit Land Bank Authority collaborates directly with individual buyers, community partners, and developers on projects of all sizes.

ABOUT THIS ROLE

The Inventory Project Manager I plays a crucial role in our mission to improve community quality of life. This position is ideal for an individual dedicated to community development and enhancement, contributing to our goals.

The Inventory Project Manager I is tasked with generating listings for the Detroit Land Bank Authority's (DLBA) sales pipelines, emphasizing precision and attention to detail. Responsibilities include coordinating sale-ready properties with the title team, managing inquiries, assessing property inspection outcomes for potential pre-sale concerns, and supporting team initiatives, including sale events and vendor coordination. Additionally, this role involves ongoing monitoring of the DLBA's inventory to address resident requests and property condition changes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with home sale pipeline activities in collaboration with the Project Manager I.
  • Provide training support to team members on listing creation, inspection review, and Salesforce.
  • Create and manage online property listings for DLBA sales, ensuring accuracy and prompt correction of errors.
  • Evaluate inspection results to identify urgent issues, collaborating with the Manager and team for resolution.
  • Compile and prepare regular reports related to property listings, including inspection documentation and images.
  • Identify and implement enhancements to the listing process.
  • Coordinate with the Title team to facilitate the progression of sales candidates through the title process.
  • Organize and upload listing photographs for DLBA-owned properties.
  • Support departmental efforts to monitor and respond to changes in property status, condition, and resident feedback.
  • Cross-train on occupied inspection processes and assist with reviews.
  • Manage inquiries related to Planning and Analysis Salesforce, prioritizing work orders and overseeing completion.
  • Document service outcomes in Salesforce and upload verification photos.
  • Prepare and process various financial documents, including bills and purchase orders.
  • Facilitate inter-departmental coordination to ensure the smooth movement of properties through sales pipelines.
  • Address resident inquiries regarding DLBA-owned properties.
  • Assist with sale events for DLBA properties.
  • Generate internal and external reports on project and property statuses.
  • Support the Manager with special projects as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, project management, urban planning, community development, real estate, or a related field is preferred.
  • Two years of experience in urban planning, real estate, or public administration is preferred.
  • Familiarity with construction methods and building codes is advantageous.
  • Experience with Salesforce is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a solid understanding of English grammar and composition.
  • Ability to comprehend and execute contractual agreements.
  • Proficient in maintaining records and preparing relevant reports and correspondence.
  • A self-motivated individual capable of managing various projects simultaneously.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook).
  • Possession of a valid Michigan driver's license.
  • Ability to travel to multiple sites throughout Detroit using a personal vehicle.
