Pay Grade - 18

Annual Compensation Range ($USD): 54,812.00 paid on a bi-weekly basis. Individual pay is determined by the applicable CBA and related articles.

Overview
The Construction Project Coordinator plays a crucial role in overseeing construction activities to ensure adherence to contractual obligations.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Facilitate construction operations with Airport Tenants, contractors, consultants, and Airport Authority Departments.
2. Assist in coordinating worksite activities to ensure project access and safety compliance.
3. Request and manage the response of field inspectors, Airport Authority Departments, and governmental agencies.
4. Coordinate utility inspections on Airport property as needed by Contractors with relevant WCAA Departments.
5. Participate in design and construction meetings with contractors, consultants, and project management teams.

Inspection and Compliance:
Review and evaluate assigned project documents and activities at Detroit Metro and Willow Run Airports to ensure compliance with contractual agreements, Airport Authority, FAA, stakeholder, and governmental agency requirements (including applicable building codes and regulations).

Monitoring and Reporting:
Oversee ongoing construction activities to ensure adherence to security and safety protocols by contractors.
Act as a liaison for contractors, tenants, and staff regarding project-related inquiries.
Assist in resolving issues related to assigned projects or contractors by gathering relevant information.

Prepare daily documentation for each construction project, including inspection reports, project logs, Requests for Information (RFI), punch lists, invoice verification, and contract closeout documentation.
Report any issues or concerns to the assigned supervisor for guidance.
Attend and observe pressure testing of fire and water lines.
Conduct final project walk-throughs to confirm that contractors have fulfilled all requirements, including final punch list items.

Property Inspection:
Conduct visual inspections of Airport properties, utilities, infrastructures, and facilities to identify potential risks, wear, or necessary repairs.
Compile reports of observations, file work orders, or contact responsible parties as needed.
Perform other related duties as required or directed.

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Certificate of High School Equivalency.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction contracts, facility maintenance, or the construction industry.
- Valid Driver's License with a safe driving record.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
None - Individual Contributor

Special Conditions:
Must obtain WCAA Airfield Certification (Movement Area) within the probation period.

Selection Process:
- Written examination on knowledge of construction and safety practices - 40%
- Oral interview - 60%
An overall score of 70% or higher is required to be ranked on the eligibility list.
