We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Representative II to join our team at Sutter Health. As a key member of our patient access team, you will play a critical role in ensuring that patients receive high-quality care by providing exceptional customer service and ensuring accurate and efficient registration and financial clearance processes.
Key Responsibilities- Obtain and verify patient information, including demographic and insurance data, to ensure accurate registration and financial clearance.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and families, responding to their needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient flow and efficient use of resources.
- Stay up-to-date on insurance and medical terminology, as well as EMTALA and Consent Laws, to ensure compliance and accuracy in patient registration and financial clearance processes.
- High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
- 1 year of recent relevant experience in patient access, financial counseling, or a related field
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
- Accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Computer proficiency skills, with the ability to work effectively in multiple computer systems
