Job Overview

Objective:

The Business Analytics and Insights Advisor is responsible for extracting operational intelligence through comprehensive data examination, reporting, and visualization tools. This role requires close collaboration with clients, IT, and operational teams to gain a thorough understanding of workflows and data frameworks. Utilizing this expertise, the advisor will analyze data, generate insights, and pinpoint reporting solutions that provide leadership with valuable information to enhance operational efficiency. A strong grasp of workflows and effective partnerships with key stakeholders will be essential for success in this position. The advisor will support program leadership and report directly to the Director of Business Technology Solutions. In addition to fulfilling insights and reporting requirements, the advisor will collaborate with technical teams to guide future reporting necessities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather, validate, analyze, interpret, and organize diverse data types into insightful reports.
  • Develop and maintain performance analytics aligned with critical business initiatives.
  • Define, construct, and deliver reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs) that support operational goals.
  • Create and interpret reports and dashboards to provide impactful insights into performance.
  • Produce standard monthly and quarterly KPI reporting packages.
  • Execute ad hoc projects aimed at translating business requirements into reporting solutions that enhance operational performance.
  • Engage in initiatives to further advance reporting capabilities.
  • Collaborate with operational and technical teams to inform future reporting solutions.
  • Analyze data from multiple sources and ensure data integrity before dissemination.
  • Work with management to identify data necessary for supporting operational objectives.
  • Assist leadership in identifying, analyzing, and interpreting trends within data sets.
  • Spot reporting opportunities to accompany new operational workflows.
  • Work with cross-functional teams and department leaders to determine optimal data and reporting solutions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in SQL and Excel (including macros, pivot tables, advanced charts/graphs, conditional formatting, data tables, and basic programming).
  • Capability to build Salesforce reports and dashboards.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to partner with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to extract operational insights.
  • Capacity to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience with analytical tools and report generation technologies.
  • Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment.
  • Capability to manage deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of pharmacy or healthcare sectors.

Work Environment:

This position operates in a professional office setting and may involve telecommuting. Employees must have reliable internet access to utilize necessary systems and software related to their responsibilities. The expected work hours will remain consistent regardless of telecommuting participation. Employees are responsible for establishing their home office environment, ensuring it is separate from personal living spaces to maintain privacy and professionalism. The amount of time spent in the office or telecommuting will depend on the needs and priorities of the organization.
