About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Account Executive to join our team at FirstLight Fiber. As a key member of our sales organization, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth and bringing in new business from prospects and existing customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Negotiate and close sales opportunities to meet or exceed sales targets
  • Identify prospect needs and provide guidance and solution recommendations to meet those needs
  • Develop a deep understanding of FirstLight's products and services and connect client business objectives with our offerings
  • Build and expand relationships with Economic Buyers in prospect accounts
  • Assist prospects in maximizing the return on their investment with FirstLight
  • Establish yourself as a trusted advisor to the prospect
  • Support in retaining newly acquired customers and expanding footprint through cross/up sell opportunities
  • Stay abreast of competition, competitive issues and products
  • Provide regular reporting of pipeline and forecast through the CRM system
  • Collaborate with peers and management to continually improve the sales organization
Qualifications & Preferences
  • 5+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably in a telecom or ISP environment
  • Experience in the SLED vertical preferred
  • Knowledge of Erate, RFP/Q/B, government contracting and higher education market required
  • Proven track record of exceeding new logo sales quotas
  • Strong knowledge of telecommunications industry and terminology

Benefits and Compensation

FirstLight offers a competitive benefits package including a comprehensive medical benefit, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, 401(k) and flexible work arrangements.

Estimated base annual salary is anticipated to be between $80,000-$85,000. Pay ranges represent a good faith annual estimate at the time of the job posting. Actual pay will be based on multiple factors including experience, skill sets, location, internal equity, and market rates.
