Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Team Management: Provide guidance and direction to the meat department team, ensuring they are equipped to deliver exceptional customer service and meet sales targets.
- Customer Service: Foster a positive and welcoming environment for customers, responding promptly to their needs and resolving any issues that may arise.
- Inventory Management: Oversee the ordering and inventory of meat products, ensuring that stock levels are maintained and that products are rotated effectively.
- Financial Management: Monitor and manage the meat department's financial performance, including sales, labor costs, and inventory levels.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all meat department operations are in compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including food safety and handling procedures.
- Experience: 24+ months of retail experience, including 12+ months of team leadership experience.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a team. Strong knowledge of meat products, including cutting, wrapping, and merchandising. Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.
The Meat Department Manager will work in a fast-paced retail environment, with regular exposure to meat products and equipment. The ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, is essential.
