Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough credit analysis and underwriting of commercial real estate, multifamily, and business loans to determine feasibility and credit risk.
  • Review and analyze loan packages, including financial statements, tax returns, and other supporting documentation, to ensure compliance with credit and underwriting standards.
  • Prepare and review credit approval memorandums, including credit analysis, collateral cash flow analysis, and debt service coverage ratios.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with loan officers and customers to provide updates on transaction status and resolve any discrepancies or concerns.
  • Present loan files to the loan officer, senior credit officer, or lending authority for discussion and conclusion, including department recommendations to management and/or the credit committee.
  • Assist the Senior Credit Officer with loan policies, quality control matters, loan review, and underwriting.

Work Environment:

This role is performed in a bank environment, and employees may be required to work extended hours, including holidays, as needed.

Physical Demands:

Required Education and Experience:

  • Minimum two years' experience in banking/lending practices or a related field.
  • English/Spanish communication required due to high volume of Hispanic customers.
  • Able to work flexible hours according to department needs during peak times.
