Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to join our team at Andretti Indoor Karting & Games. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and supervising a wide range of construction projects from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met and specifications are incorporated.
  • Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and work timetables to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Develop and manage RFP packages for General Contractors, negotiate contracts, and qualify construction bids.
  • Hire and manage contractors and vendors, ensuring favorable pricing and terms.
  • Obtain and maintain all necessary permits and licenses.
  • Work with 3rd party and government inspectors to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Plan and schedule construction operations to meet deadlines and ensure project milestones are achieved.
  • Manage project documentation, including drawings, specifications, submittals, and shop drawings.
  • Review and provide feedback on contractor pay applications.
  • Determine necessary resources, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to ensure project completion within budget.
  • Manage and conduct regular project meetings with the design and construction teams to facilitate communication and solve on-site problems.
  • Manage construction schedules and adapt full FFE schedules for timely project completion and opening dates.
  • Manage the work of subcontractors, laborers, and other vendors as needed for smaller in-house projects.
  • Evaluate project progress, prepare detailed reports, and conduct quality control inspections to ensure project compliance.
  • Oversee final inspections, ensure all punch list items and owner requests are completed, and facilitate project handover to the owner's operations and maintenance team.
  • Prepare and finalize all project documentation, including as-built drawings, warranties, and O&M documents.
  • Conduct a project review to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement in future projects.
  • Ensure adherence to all company, industry, and applicable government health & safety standards.

Requirements
  • Strong communication, negotiation, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Proven experience as a construction project manager.
  • In-depth understanding of construction procedures, materials, and project management principles.
  • Ability to read and understand full construction drawings and specifications.
  • Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office, including Excel and Project.
  • Familiarity with construction/project management software, including Bluebeam Revu, Trimble products, and Autodesk products.
  • Eligible to work in the United States.
  • Minimum age of 18 years.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Candidate based in Orlando.
  • Team player with leadership abilities.
  • 3-5 years of project management experience.
  • Owner Representative.
  • BS degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
  • PMP or equivalent certification.
