Position Summary
The Sales Account Manager will play a pivotal role in driving profitability within a designated sales region (Southern California). This position involves identifying prospects, delivering impactful sales presentations, closing deals, and providing ongoing client support to meet or surpass established sales targets, all while ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction with Mainline.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, acquire, and maintain high-value clients.
- Promote the complete range of Mainline Technology Solution Partner server, software, and storage offerings from a remote office.
- Build and sustain strong relationships with key customer stakeholders, including senior management and Technology Solution Partner representatives.
- Formulate and implement strategies to effectively compete within the client base and industry sectors using all available Mainline resources.
- Engage Mainline Services personnel as needed to meet Sales and Services objectives based on customer requirements.
- Encourage and contribute to a positive team culture throughout the organization.
- Secure signed agreements and necessary documentation from clients for the purchase of company products.
- Ensure all client documentation is complete, accurate, and submitted promptly. Regular audits of client orders and paperwork will be conducted.
- Provide timely and precise reports on performance as required by management.
- Exhibit flexibility and adaptability when assigned additional tasks or projects.
- Willingness to travel as needed, including air travel.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years of successful experience in outside/direct sales, preferably in a Technology Solution Partner environment.
- Experience in sales and account management within the specific territory is preferred. Established relationships with customer management are advantageous.
- A BA/BS degree or equivalent experience is preferred, with a focus on Business and/or Information Technology disciplines.
- Relevant Technology Solution Partner Certifications are a plus.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
- This position operates in a typical business office or home office environment.
- Utilization of general office equipment and personal computers is required.
- Travel may be necessary, including both auto and air travel. This position requires occasional travel.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, on-call, and/or overtime may be required.
