Regional Sales Manager - Mid Atlantic

Location: Virginia (remote)

Amwins Connect is seeking a dedicated Regional Sales Manager to oversee the Virginia territory.

Position Overview

The Regional Sales Manager plays a vital role in our high-performing team, focusing on growth and revenue generation. This position is responsible for developing, nurturing, and expanding relationships with retail brokers. A consultative approach is essential for managing, negotiating, and advising brokers effectively. The role requires in-depth market knowledge to offer tailored employee benefit solutions across various lines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and relay market trends, including competitor insights, to develop effective strategies.
  • Establish and maintain productive relationships by understanding broker needs through education and consultation.
  • Collaborate with brokers to create insurance solutions that address their clients' requirements.
  • Utilize multiple communication channels to foster and maintain relationships.
  • Develop territory/account plans that outline opportunity growth, competitive strategies, and objectives.
  • Identify and cultivate new opportunities while collaborating with sales leaders and cross-functional teams to enhance the prospect pipeline.
  • Achieve personal and team sales targets.
  • Conduct research on accounts and follow up on broker leads using product knowledge and customer insights.
  • Represent Amwins Connect at meetings, events, and training sessions to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Coordinate with brokers and carriers to provide necessary underwriting information.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated sales experience in group medical or ancillary insurance.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales goals.
  • Solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Experience with CRM systems.
  • Familiarity with various sales techniques and pipeline management.
  • Current Life & Health insurance license.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated with a strong drive for achievement.
  • Exceptional time management abilities.
  • Solid understanding of the Affordable Care Act and local insurance markets.
  • Willingness to travel for internal conferences and training.
