Job Overview

Position Title: Financial Literacy Program Coordinator / Financial Coach
Employment Status: Non-Exempt / Hourly / Temporary Role / Part-time (3 days per week) / In-person
Compensation: $30-$32 per hour

POSITION SUMMARY
The Financial Literacy Program Coordinator is responsible for organizing and delivering financial education and coaching services to participants in our program. This role also involves coordinating various deliverables related to financial education initiatives. The coordinator will work to integrate and promote additional asset-building services to enhance the effectiveness of the Family Economic Empowerment initiative. Participation in community development collaboratives, research, and the implementation of new programs is also expected.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
1. Associate's degree in a relevant field and two years of experience in financial education, credit counseling, community development, employment counseling, business administration, volunteer management, or project administration; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
2. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
3. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management abilities, capable of prioritizing tasks in a dynamic environment.
4. Exceptional customer service skills.
5. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
6. Commitment to maintaining client confidentiality.
7. Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.
8. Flexibility to work varied hours, including occasional evenings and weekends.
Preferred:
9. Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or a related field.
10. Proficiency in G-suite, Microsoft Office, desktop publishing, and online research.
11. Strong database management, report generation, and record-keeping skills.
12. Experience in event planning and organization.
13. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordination of Financial Education Programs
1. Develops, organizes, and implements financial education and related services, including:
a. Financial education and coaching services, credit and debt counseling
b. Workshops and support groups focused on financial planning, nutrition, and family strengthening
c. Financial coaching utilizing United Way/Co-Active Coaching methods
2. Prepares budgets and required reports.

Community Engagement
3. Leads initiatives to promote the connection between financial strength and overall family health and wellness, aligning with Family Economic Empowerment goals.
4. Collaborates with partners and project staff to identify additional service needs and enhance service delivery systems.
5. Maintains certification as a Covered California Certified Enrollment Counselor (CEC).
6. Handles inquiries for enrollment in the Covered California program.
7. Assists applicants with eligibility determination and enrollment processes.
8. Performs other duties as assigned.
