Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Practice Administrative Associate to join our team at Yale New Haven Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating patient care and physician activity, maintaining patient medical records, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain appointment schedules, ensuring timely and efficient communication with staff and physicians.
  • Coordinate the check-in process, verifying patient information and obtaining necessary signatures.
  • Answer telephone calls, respond to messages, and refer callers to appropriate personnel.
  • Execute pre-authorizations for diagnostic tests and procedures, track referrals, and maintain electronic medical records.
  • Collect and reconcile co-pay collections, and participate in quality improvement activities.
  • Provide cross-coverage as needed, and assist with chaperone duties for patient medical procedures.
Requirements
  • High School degree or equivalent required.
  • 1 year of administrative healthcare experience or 2 years of administrative office experience required.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
