Salary Information

The estimated annual salary for this position is approximately $37,440 based on an hourly wage of $18.00 per hour. Additionally, we offer a one-time sign-on bonus of $1,000 paid out in increments at set milestones of employment. We also provide comprehensive benefits packages including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401(K) plan.

Job Description

This role involves supporting individuals who experience intellectual and developmental disabilities in their own homes and communities. The successful candidate will work closely with the people they support to promote their independence, dignity, and overall well-being. This includes providing caregiver supports like food preparation, personal care, and implementing individualized support plans. In addition to these duties, the candidate will be responsible for promoting our organization's mission, values, and principles.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years of age when starting employment.
  • Must have basic computer skills and be able to learn agency applications.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communication.
  • Well-organized and attentive to detail, with ability to interpret various instructions.
  • Cooperative and willing to learn, with enhanced math skills to accurately balance budgets and perform basic transactions.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English, with reasonable accommodation available for some positions.

Physical Requirements and Certifications

The successful candidate must be able to lift and transfer 25 pounds minimum, with some positions requiring more. They must also be able to respond appropriately to emergencies and crises, including the use of physical intervention. Required certifications include a valid driver's license (for some positions), Oregon Intervention System certification, CPR training, and Mandatory Abuse Reporter duties.
