Position Overview

FirstCarbon Solutions is a prominent environmental services provider dedicated to addressing complex ecological challenges. Our firm has a diverse portfolio, serving various sectors including transportation, manufacturing, and public services.

We are currently seeking an Environmental Scientist / Engineering Project Manager to enhance our operational capabilities. This role is designed for individuals with a robust background in environmental science and project management. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing environmental remediation projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate exceptional communication skills with a focus on advanced writing capabilities.
  • Establish and nurture long-term relationships with clients by providing expert guidance and participating in project discussions.
  • Oversee project management tasks, including budget oversight, invoice processing, and team coordination.
  • Engage in the development of proposals and budget plans.
  • Design and implement site remediation strategies in accordance with federal and state guidelines.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations, utilizing data visualization tools such as tables and graphs.
  • Provide mentorship and technical direction to junior staff members.

Core Competencies:

  • Expertise in contamination site restoration.
  • Proficiency in remediation design and execution.
  • Technical leadership on specific projects.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or a related discipline.
  • Progressive experience in contamination site restoration with increasing responsibilities.
  • Strong project management skills are essential.
  • Experience with Petroleum Restoration Programs is highly desirable.
  • Completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam or equivalent is preferred.
  • OSHA HAZWOPR 40-hour certification is required.
  • A valid Driver's License is mandatory.
