Civil Engineering Project Specialist

Professional Service Industries, Inc. (Intertek-PSI) is seeking a dedicated Civil Engineering Project Specialist to enhance our Building & Construction division. The Building & Construction division offers comprehensive assurance, testing, inspection, and certification services, alongside innovative building science solutions, to ensure Total Quality Assurance in the built environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct a range of assignments that involve independent assessments utilizing established techniques, procedures, and criteria, applying judgment to make minor adjustments and modifications.
  • Prepare and evaluate engineering reports, project plans, and specifications created by other professionals.
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to team members.
  • Develop scopes, budgets, and timelines for various assignments.
  • Draft proposals for professional service offerings.
  • Review recommendations in collaboration with senior consultants.
  • Maintain and cultivate client relationships while identifying new project opportunities.
  • Participate in client meetings on-site.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and project teams.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Provide training to technicians and other technical personnel.
  • Conduct on-site observations, sample collection, and specific testing as required.
  • Work in both field and laboratory settings regularly.
  • Adhere to safety practices and policies to ensure personal and team safety.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Architectural, Construction, Civil, Geotechnical, or Geological Engineering from an accredited institution is mandatory; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant civil/geotechnical engineering experience is essential.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) registration is mandatory.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
  • Potential travel of up to 25% may be required.
  • A valid driver's license and a reliable driving record are required.
