Position Overview:

The Educational Program Consultant plays a pivotal role in enhancing the educational landscape by supporting the development, oversight, and assessment of school programs. This position is governed by relevant state and federal regulations as well as institutional policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate supplemental educational services that align with local district instruction and adhere to state curriculum frameworks.
  • Design, implement, and assess program compliance and the effectiveness of training, curricula, and related educational services across various educational institutions.
  • Conduct workshops and seminars to disseminate critical information pertinent to specialized program areas and provide in-service training opportunities.
  • Offer technical assistance to school administrators by interpreting regulations, addressing inquiries, and resolving issues related to assigned program areas.
  • Research and analyze demographic, labor market, and technological data to make informed recommendations on educational programs that address evolving needs.
  • Act as a liaison with educational and public interest organizations to communicate departmental initiatives and identify community needs.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Travel Requirements:
Frequent in-state overnight travel may be necessary.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • In-depth understanding of public school operations and structures.
  • Familiarity with regulations and statutes related to educational programs.
  • Proficient in consultative practices and techniques.
  • Strong planning, research, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to compile and organize comprehensive reports.
  • Capacity to interpret and apply relevant laws and regulations governing educational programs.
  • Expertise in developing, evaluating, and monitoring the effectiveness of educational programs and services.

Minimum Qualifications:
The formal education equivalent of a bachelor's degree in public administration, educational administration, education, or a related field, coupled with five years of experience in education, public school administration, or a related area. Additional qualifications may be considered upon approval by the relevant review committee.
