The City of New York is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Employment and Vocational Rehabilitation Services Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our Customized Assistance Services (CAS) team, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing employment and vocational rehabilitation services that support individuals with health and/or mental health conditions.
Key Responsibilities- Provide consultation and technical assistance to CAS program staff, including contractors, to develop and improve workforce development and vocational rehabilitation services.
- Oversee the implementation and monitoring of quality improvement plans for employment and vocational rehabilitation services within CAS programs.
- Collaborate with CAS and DSS Workforce Development programs to foster collaboration and support employment-related projects.
- Act as a principal advisor to the Assistant Deputy Commissioner on policies, procedures, and other issues related to workforce development and vocational rehabilitation.
- A master's degree from an accredited college in a relevant field, such as economics, finance, accounting, business, or public administration, and two years of satisfactory full-time professional experience in a related field.
- Or, a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and four years of professional experience in a related field, including 18 months of executive, managerial, administrative, or supervisory experience.
- Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) or Rehabilitation Counseling, Social Work, Public Health/Administration with appropriate licensure or certification.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all levels of management within CAS and HRA, as well as other city agencies, vendors, and clients.
- Strong management skills.
