Job Summary

The Director of Operations and Nursing Home Administration is responsible for the day-to-day management of the campus, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations. This role involves implementing industry best practices, developing a positive company culture, and promoting effective communication with all stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management: Provide strategic direction and guidance to staff, ensuring alignment with the company's mission, vision, and values.
  • Operational Management: Oversee the various operations of the campus, including fundraising, on-call services, and maintenance of the physical plant and grounds.
  • Financial Management: Adhere to the operational budget and financial performance, promoting lean management principles and cost-effective practices.
  • Staff Development and Empowerment: Empower, guide, and mentor staff to achieve their full potential, aligning with the company's strategic plan.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal codes, regulations, and policies, participating in the development and revision of policies as needed.
  • Strategic Planning: Participate in both strategic and operational planning processes, maintaining professional credentials and knowledge of industry developments.
Requirements
  • A graduate of an accredited college or university with a minimum of a bachelor's degree, preferably in health or business administration, or equivalent experience.
  • Licensed Nursing Home Administrator, or able to be licensed, with current knowledge of the senior living industry and regulatory agencies.
  • Eight to nine years of leadership experience in a retirement community setting, preferred.
  • Commitment to quality outcomes and services for all individuals.
  • Ability to relate well to all individuals, maintain confidentiality, and exercise independent judgment.
