Job Overview

The Supply Chain Analytics Manager will concentrate on the NAC Distribution sector. This role is pivotal in overseeing and facilitating the movement of products, resources, and information essential for the supply chain, ensuring that key processes operate efficiently and meet organizational objectives and performance indicators.

This position requires clear and concise communication with various functions across the complete supply chain. The individual will collaborate with procurement, sales, operations, customer service, transportation, and other departments to enhance supply chain efficiency. Identifying bottlenecks or issues and proposing solutions will be a critical responsibility.

The manager will evaluate demand forecasts, align forecasted demand with current inventory levels, and coordinate the necessary supply chain activities to fulfill that demand. Strong analytical skills are essential for recommending and establishing planning parameters in MRP systems (such as M3, SAP, etc.) that direct the planning function. Working alongside the Director of Supply Chain, this role will provide insights and frameworks to optimize inventory for the distribution sector.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Over 10 years of experience in planning analytics.
  • Extensive experience with systems and analytics.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and SalesForce software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills across all levels of leadership and functions.
  • Willingness to travel up to 15% may be necessary.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Statistics, or Operations Management.
  • Experience in the distribution industry is advantageous.
  • Practical experience as a demand/supply planner.
  • Familiarity with S&OP meetings.
  • Experience in the chemical manufacturing, distribution, and processing industries is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a thought leader in Supply Chain management by identifying challenges and opportunities, analyzing data, recommending solutions, and establishing planning parameters.
  • Analyze data to provide insights that support supply chain strategies aimed at effectively managing inventory levels and costs while ensuring sufficient stock availability.
  • Lead the design, development, testing, and implementation of business intelligence reports.
  • Communicate in terms of solutions or project objectives.
  • Provide leadership for specialized work groups.
  • Enhance all aspects of forecasting management, aiming to reduce working capital and minimize aging and obsolete inventory.
  • Deliver leadership and valuable analytical insights to the Sales and Operations process (S&OP).
  • Identify root causes of inventory disruptions and suggest methods to manage and improve open orders, aging and obsolete inventory, back-orders, etc., while tracking impacts over time.
  • Guide continuous improvement in planning parameters, including but not limited to Segment Differentiation and "Min-Max" inventory programs.
  • Develop or modify procedures to address recurring non-conformances (NCRs) related to supply chain and logistics issues, reviewing them regularly.
  • Actively engage in the NCR program, leading the resolution of NCRs associated with supply chain, logistics providers, or warehouse service providers.
