Position Overview

At Dakota Supply Group, we are in search of an Inventory Management Coordinator. This role is integral to our operations, focusing on the meticulous oversight of stock levels and inventory accuracy. The position is full-time and typically operates during standard business hours, Monday through Friday, although flexibility may be required based on operational demands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage overall inventory processes and ensure accuracy.
  • Conduct daily cycle counts to maintain inventory integrity.
  • Handle customer returns, including defective and special orders.
  • Process manufacturer returns and manage product recalls.
  • Serve as a communication bridge between warehouse operations and customer service.
  • Perform root cause analysis for any inventory discrepancies.
  • Assist management with inventory optimization and adjustments.
  • Oversee rental equipment management.
  • Address and report on damaged equipment.
  • Facilitate inventory transfers as needed.
  • Support training initiatives for warehouse personnel.
  • Participate in the order verification process.
  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
  • Assist in shipping and receiving operations.
  • Collaborate with warehouse staff to identify and resolve issues.
  • Undertake additional warehouse duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in inventory management or warehouse operations, typically acquired over one to three years.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational capabilities.
  • Safety training in material handling and forklift operation.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 60 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs occasionally.
  • Proficient in computer systems and inventory management software.
  • A collaborative mindset with a focus on teamwork.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and maintain composure under pressure.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
