In response to our ongoing expansion, CommuniCare Family of Companies is seeking a dedicated Admissions Coordination Specialist for our operations.

The Admissions Coordination Specialist plays a crucial role in managing the intake process and verifying financial information for skilled nursing facility admissions. This position is pivotal in directing all referrals to the most suitable facilities, thereby supporting our growth in resident census. Candidates should possess strong computer skills and demonstrate precise data entry capabilities, alongside relevant healthcare experience. This role collaborates closely with the admissions team and Managed Care Organizations to ensure all necessary documentation and authorization numbers are secured prior to admissions, facilitating a seamless transition for new residents. Exceptional communication skills and a strong customer service orientation are essential. The ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment is required, along with prior experience in admissions or business office settings within Long Term Care.

Estimated Compensation: $21/hour

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • 3-5 years of relevant professional experience, ideally in a skilled nursing context verifying insurance benefits.
  • Outstanding time management and organizational abilities.
  • Capacity to handle multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent verbal communication and phone skills.
  • Accountable and reliable with strong follow-through.
  • Self-motivated with a sense of personal responsibility.
